Linda Edna Cardellini was born in Redwood City, California, to Lorraine (Hernan) and Wayne David Cardellini who is a businessman. She has Italian origins (her paternal grandfather), Irish, German, English and Scottish (her mother). Linda grew in San Francisco Bay region, California as the youngest of four siblings. When she was in her tenth grade she started to become interested in acting when performing in school plays. She also continued doing school plays and performing in community theater. Linda was a graduate of Saint Francis High School Mountain View, California. She had to choose between New York for theater and Los Angeles for film and TV when she finished her studies. When she graduated, she had to decide whether or not to pursue television and film in Los Angeles. Linda was cast first as a character on Bone Chillers (1996). Her breakthrough part came when she was cast in Freaks and Geeks (1999). Lindsay Weir was her character in the Emmy-winning series.

Lily James was born Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson (5 April 1989). She was an English actor. Her professional career started in 2010, with the British TV series Just William, in which she studied at London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Cinderella was her first big performance following her appearance in the role of the character Lady Rose MacClare, in Downton Abbey's period drama (2012-2015). James went on to portray the Countess Natasha Rostova in the television version of War & Peace (2016) as well as starring in various movies, including the action film Baby Driver (2017), the period dramas Darkest Hour (2017), The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (2018) and The Dig (2021), and musicals Mamma Mia! We Go Again (2018) and Yesterday 2019 We Go again (2018) and Yesterday 2019 The actress was nominated for the Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award in 2022 to play Pamela Anderson, the star of Pam & Tommy.
