Aunjanue An. Ellis Taylor, American producer and actress. She received a BA from Brown University in African-American Studies. At the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University she obtained an MFA. Aunjanue Ellis. Ellis, is an American actor and producer who has worked in theater as well as television and film productions and is present across both sides of the screen. Her career began with theater, and was later featured in several TV shows and independent as well as mainstream films. She came to prominence as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and appeared on the epic BET series The Book of Negroes for which she received not just critical acclaim but also received a host of nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Movie. Her debut on stage as Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest. She has performed as a character on Broadway in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. She is most well-known for her role in the series Men of Honor as well as The Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. For her work on television she has been praised for her performance as the regular character in ABC's drama about cops High Incident.
